Native was conceived of in mid-2003 by artist and author R. Korol.
While primarily 'furry' (involving an anthropomorphic animal cast) in nature, the story will hopefully entice readers of other genres. The story does depend on the animal nature of its main characters, in a world where humans have no presence.
The story could be most-accurately classified as Science Fiction, as it involves a wide range of less-than-likely situations, aside from the anthro cast, ranging from alien invaders to viscious dinosaurs. To describe the story another way, I like to call it "20,0000 Leagues Under the Sea-meets-Planet of the Apes-meets-Star Wars." I hope it can live up to that description.

There will be only one volume, one major story arc. Native will be entirely black and white in its interior, the originals done entirely in real media, save for the text, which will be type-set. It will be produced with a full-color cover, and an alternate cover will also be offered for a limited time, with art from a guest artist.
It is also likely that additional 'shorts' starring the cast of Native will be published separately from the main plot novel.
